 SUMMIT HEAD START 0-5

The Summit Head Start 0-5 (HS0-5) program is comprehensive early childhood program for low-income families with children 0-5 years old.  Pregnant woman can also apply.  HS 0-5 offers both Head Start and Early Head Start programs.

Children learn school readiness skills including: 

Social and friendship skills

Language & literacy skills

Problem solving skills and self confidence

Parents have access to: 

Parenting classes & tips

Family Support

Connection to community resources

Community resources

Mental heath consolations and resources

The Process of recruiting eligible children and their families, the following information is required.

EHS is for families with children age 0-3. Participating

centers include:

Summit County Preschool

Lake Dillon Preschool

Carriage House Early Learning Center

 

Head Start (HS)

HS serves families with children ages 3-5. 

Participating Summit School District Preschools include:

Summit Cove Elementary

Dillon Valley Elementary

Silverthorne Elementary

Frisco Elementary

Upper Blue Elementary

Participating Center include:

Lake Dillon Preschool

Summit County Preschool

Carriage House Early Learning Center

Head Start (HS)

Thank you for your interest in Early Head Start and/or Head Start 0-5.

Summit Head Start 0-5 is able to serve 35 children ages 3-5 and 24 children ages 6 weeks to 3 years old and one pregnant woman. Head Start is an income-qualifying program.  Families with children with special needs are encouraged to apply. 

Head Start is the national commitment to give every vulnerable child an opportunity to succeed.
