A Colorado Shines rating (QIRS- Quality Improvement Rating System) demonstrates your commitment to quality and communicates to families that your program is a safe place where their children will learn and thrive. Colorado Shines is a quality rating and improvement system that monitors and supports early learning programs for children ages 0-5 years.  Its primary functions are to help participating programs and professionals improve their quality through assessment, training and tools, and to connect Colorado families with quality child care.
