NEW POSITION OPEN!!  Head Start Health Tracking Specialist (part-time, 20 hours/week)

Summary of Job Duties:

  • Responsible for tracking and maintaining health data for 71 children
  • Communicate with health providers to obtain required documentation
  • Communicate with families about required health visits for children
  • Communicate with program partners including Public Health, Family & Intercultural Resource Center (FIRC), preschools, and child care programs to ensure compliance with Head Start regulations
  • Assist families and program staff in identifying resources and addressing barriers to accessing services
  • Become proficient with program’s child data management and reporting system
  • Participate in program and health related meetings

Qualifications:   Attention to detail, effective organizational and time management skills, ability to work well independently.  Ability to communicate, verbally and through written modes, effectively with staff, parents and community partners.

Skills:  Knowledge of various computer word processing and spreadsheets software.  Knowledge of E-mail, internet and computer programs.  Correct use of English and Spanish, both verbal and written. Ability to network in order to provide a comprehensive approach to client service.   Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

Education/Training/Experience:  Associates or Bachelors degree or higher preferred.  High School Diploma or GED required.

Breckenridge Montessori, an American Montessori Society full member school, is hiring the following position for the 2017-18 school year :

Early Childhood Assistant Teacher or Intern (Part Time) – 25-30 hours per week. Early childhood education and Montessori experience helpful but not required. Position description highlights include:

  • Assist Teacher and Director with in-classroom duties including supervision of children during lessons
  • Giving children introductory lessons
  • Supervision of children during free play and outside adventures
  • Helping with nap time, bathroom needs, cleaning of classroom & kitchen

Qualifications for the position include:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • AMS or AMI Montessori diploma desired or enrollment in AMS or AMI Montessori Training program.
  • Must pass a criminal background check

Competitive pay depending on experience, holiday/vacation leave and paid annual required trainings.

Breckenridge Montessori is open year round, following the Summit School District schedule and is closed for holidays and breaks with the exception of a 2-month summer program.
